ArtResin two components epoxy/crystal resin
With the ArtResin crystal resin you can realize foundries, inclusions, or claddings. Can be colored directly in the mass, for example with pigments, or on the surface with stained glass colors. So far, we have tested the ArtResin crystal resin with 2.5 cm thick casts (Fig. 2.5cm) and found it to be good.

Use ArtResin in 4 simple steps
Put on gloves and put equal amounts of resin and hardener into a mixing cup. You can use our resin coverage calculator as a guide to determine how much you need.
TIP – Mix a little more than you think you’ll need, because you want to cover your work completely in one go and not have to re-mix later.
Stir very well for at least 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides and bottom to make sure you are thorough (unmixed material leaves sticky spots that just won’t cure). Once you have mixed the resin and hardener, you have about 45 minutes for the resin to thicken and cure.
After making sure your workpiece is level, pour ArtResin® over your work. Do not be frightened! It will level itself and you can spread it in place. Let the resin run over the edges and then simply use a brush to smooth it out. You will notice that bubbles rise to the surface. Many of these bubbles will dissolve on their own, but you can also dissolve them yourself for a flawless finish – A Bunzen burner is great for this. TIP – Wooden boards are best for large pieces as they will not sag under the weight of the resin.
ArtResin® must be left in a dust-free place for several hours while it cures. After about 8 hours it will be tacky, but you can pour a second layer if needed. After about 12 hours it feels dry, and after 24 hours it is 95% cured. It is fully cured within 72 hours.
CLEAN UP – To reuse your mixing tools, wipe them down with a paper towel before the resin dries.
