Death Note

Death Note (jap. デスノート, Desu Nōto) is a manga series drawn by Japanese cartoonist Takeshi Obata from 2003 to 2006, based on a story by Tsugumi Ōba. It is about the student Light Yagami, who can kill other people with a found notebook – the Death Note. He uses this ability to implement his ideal of justice, triggering not only a change in society but also police investigations against him. The investigation becomes an intellectual duel between Light and the investigators, especially Detectives L and Near.
