Model and freely design details on your cosplay with Foam Clay / Silk Clay
Would you like to add details to the foam armor? We have the answer for you. Our Foam Clay starts out as a foamy putty like clay that stretches and blends back into itself beautifully. Once the surface begins to dry, it can be difficult to smooth lines, so we recommend using a little water for this. When your sculpted piece is finished, let it air dry, the thicker the piece the longer it will take to dry completely. After curing, the foam dries to a high-density foam that can be cut, sanded, heat molded and glued to your project. The completely dried foam parts do not need to be heat sealed, but we recommend priming before painting. We recommend a curing time of approximately 48 hours before painting, rotate your piece regularly to allow it to dry evenly. If your modeled part is very thick, the center may not be fully cured yet. This is normal and you can still prime and paint it before it is completely dry inside. However, you must wait until the workpiece is completely dry before cutting and sanding through the surface layer.
