She may look like “Baby Yoda,” but this moving creature is called The Child – and kids are invited to protect this electronic character from Star Wars. When the top of The Child’s electronic edition head is touched, over 25 sound and motion combinations are activated, including joy and excitement sounds, giggling, babbling and more. The character’s head moves up and down all the time, the ears move back and forth, and the eyes open and close. Boys and girls ages 4 and up are invited to use the power when The Child figure closes her eyes, raises her arm and sighs as if she’s putting out a lot of energy.

The Mandalorian is a live-action series set in the Star Wars universe, with prolific director, screenwriter, producer and actor Jon Favreau serving as showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter. Other writers on the series include Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa and Christopher L. Yost. Filoni, who was also responsible for The Clone Wars and Rebels, directed the first episode. Other episodes are directed by the likes of Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi. Aside from Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson will also serve as executive producers. Karen Gilchrist was named as executive co-producer.
The series is set around the year 9 NSY during the time of the New Republic and introduces a lot of new characters to the canon.
