Draco Malfoy (born June 05, 1980) is a pureblood wizard and the only son of Lucius and Narzissa Malfoy.
He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991 to 1998 and was assigned to Slytherin House, which was also his personal preference.
As the son of a Death Eater, Draco, like the rest of his family, strongly believed in the importance of the purity of wizarding blood and especially despised Muggle-borns like Hermione Granger, but also wizards and wizarding families who were either poor or consorted with Muggle-borns – the Weasleys, for example. Draco made no effort to hide his racist attitudes and was proud of his heritage and the fact of being pureblooded. He insulted and provoked both Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley as often as he had an opportunity.
