Worbla’s Meshed Art (WMA) – the new Worbla with the mesh on one side!

Like all materials in the Worbla’s Art series, it is free of any substances that may be harmful to health, as well as solvent-free in production and processing. Part of our Worbla’s Meshed Art is made from recycled rice husk, which is a sustainable raw material that is appropriately incorporated into our material through high quality processing to save natural resources.

The WMA can be modeled perfectly at about 80-90°C activation temperature, over and over again.

Thanks to the mesh on one side, Worbla’s Meshed Art is less prone to tearing out eyelets/studs and the like, as well as the ideal complement for shaping & reinforcing for work with leather or fabrics.

Nevertheless, it can also be used to create surprisingly good curves and organic shapes, such as those often required for female armor!

The adhesive in Worbla’s Meshed Art is stronger than that in Worbla’s Finest Art; edges also blend very well with each other. In addition, a nice smooth surface can be easily created. But impressions are also amazingly fine possible with the material.

As usual, acrylic or spray paints are suitable for the WMA. However, the surface should be prepared in advance with appropriate primer.

Convincing properties

• Can be reactivated as often as required by heat (ideally at approx. 80-90 °C)
• Material is provided with a strong adhesive and can be mixed very well to connect individual pieces to each other stably and almost invisibly
• Due to the one-sided mesh, the material is safer than other materials without mesh with regard to tearing out eyelets, rivets and the like.
• Processing time up to several minutes, depending on the exposure time of the heat
• Simple, safe and contamination-free handling, also for newcomers
• Free from potentially harmful substances such as solvents
• Material is produced in a way that conserves resources
• Surprisingly good modeling properties despite one-sided mesh
• Surface provides grip for all kinds of paints, varnishes, glues, adhesives, etc., among other things.
• Excellent repair plus composite capabilities, also with other thermoplastics
• No unusable residues and storage time is unlimited under normal conditions
