Would you like to add details to your foam armor? Then use our Silk Clay® / Foam Clay modeling foam. It can be worked like stretchy plasticine that won’t tear. As soon as the surface starts to dry, it can be difficult to smooth out lines, so we recommend using a little water for this.

When your sculpted piece is finished, let it air dry, the thicker the piece the longer it will take to dry completely. After curing, the foam dries to a high-density foam that can be cut, sanded, heat molded and glued to your project.

The completely dried foam parts do not need to be heat sealed, but we recommend priming before painting. We recommend a curing time of approximately 48 hours before painting, rotate your piece regularly to allow it to dry evenly. If your modeled part is very thick, the center may not be fully cured yet. This is normal and you can still prime and paint it before it is completely dry inside. However, you must wait until the foam clay modeling foam is completely dry before you can cut and sand it through the surface layer.
