One pack of iDye Poly contains everything you need to dye synthetic fibers, no additional chemicals have to be added. All you need is a pot, water, the paint and of course the polyester fabric.
All colors can be mixed with each other.
A color intensifier is included in every pack.
Important: So that the fabric can take on the color, it has to be during the dyeing process simmer on a low flame . The heat is necessary for the color to be accepted by the polyester.
This is how the dyeing of 100% polyester and nylon works:
– Fill a pot with enough water so that the fabric to be dyed has enough space to float freely. The used pot should no longer be used to prepare food!
– Place the pot on the stove and turn it on.
– Add the dye bag completely and the dye color intensifier(cut open the bag!) to the water and stir everything until the dye powder is completely dissolved.
– Then add the fabric and let everything boil briefly, then the fabric must simmer in boiling water for at least 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
– The fabric should then be washed in the washing machine with detergent. Then leave to dry, done!
There is also the option of dyeing in the washing machine. However, the colors become significantly weaker. We therefore recommend using it by hand.
Use in the washing machine:
For use in the washing machine, use three times the amount of the amount of paint actually required (= 3 packets for 1 to 1.3kg of fabric).
We generally recommend hot wash at 90 degrees.
The color bags are now placed in the machine with the fabric to be colored. They dissolve in water.
Select the appropriate program and fill the colour intensifier(cut open the bags!) into the water inlet.
Wash the dyed parts thoroughly and only use the washing machine for dark textiles after dyeing.
The sealing rubber of the washing drum can become discolored, but this will disappear later and will not stain.
The result is not as intense as with “dyeing in a pot” – but still acceptable.
Important note:
Each dyeing process is at your own risk! We do not know your fabrics and articles to be dyed and can therefore not guarantee the outcome of the dyeing.
